Do I have to wear protective clothing?
In principle, this should be assessed after performing a risk analysis. This applies to all hazards defined at the point of use. DGUV information sheet 203-077 "Thermal Hazards Posed by Arc Faults" provides help on the topic of protection against arc faults. It serves as a guideline for selecting suitable PPE against arc faults.
Is it possible to wash the DEHNcare leather collection?
No, the leather surface of the protective clothing (jacket, trousers, coat) may only be cleaned in a dry condition with a soft brush or with a damp cloth.
Cleaning and care instructions can be found in the user information and on the care label in the garment.
What happens to damp outdoor clothing in the event of an electric arc?
According to previous findings, damp clothing has no negative effects on the protective function.
Can the trousers/jacket be shortened?
It is possible to shorten the trouser legs and arms.
However, modifications may only be carried out by qualified companies and only with the original material.

Repairs may only be carried out by qualified companies and only with the original material. Such actions must not adversely affect the performance of the clothing.
Subsequent changes to the protective clothing must comply with the EC-type examination certificate.

Is the DEHNcare leather collection available in different colours?
No, the protective clothing consists of a special material combination of leather and neoprene and is therefore only available in a single colour combination.
Which size fits me?
Use the size charts to determine the correct size.
Am I adequately protected with the DEHNcare leather collection on its own?
No, for complete personal protection you need suitable equipment in addition to protective clothing, such as
- Face shield and safety helmet,
- Protective gloves,
- Protective hood.

How long can I use the clothing?
The service life depends on the use, care and storage of the protective clothing. No specific time limit has been set in this respect.
All protective clothing must be checked before use. Is it undamaged and fully functional?
Can I still use dirty clothing?
Light soiling can be removed with a soft brush or a damp cloth. For heavier soiling, the clothing should be dry-cleaned in a leather cleaner.
If the protective clothing is too dirty or defective, it must no longer be used.
In this case, the type label must be cut out or made unrecognisable. Any further use must be ruled out.
